Kaden Hurst is a student of award winning mandolinist Jordan Ramsey, and is an active performer of classical chamber music, bluegrass, and jazz. His performance experience includes jazz and poetry backing with Anthropophonia, musical-theatre pit performance with the McLaughlin Theatre Company, contemporary Scottish fiddle music with violinist Zoe Schlussel, as mandolinist in the Regis University Guitar Trio, and as a soloist with the Regis University chamber ensemble.
Kaden has been awarded scholarships from Regis University and the Scottish Fiddlers of California, as well as the NCCA award for Excellence in Circus Performance and a youth grant in education from the Placer County Department of Recreation.
Kaden lives in Portland Oregon where he teaches mandolin, writes fiddle tunes, and drinks too much coffee.
